Rates
Custody Evaluations are $6,000 ($3,000 per parent), which includes three hours of testimony.
Adoption Studies are paid for by the State of South Dakota. Post placement visits are not included and will be charged separately based on location.
Visitation Assessments are charged according to each individual case.
A reduced rate is available for those who are deemed eligible. Please contact Dr. Zimbelman for more information.
Travel Costs
Home visit travel within a 30 mile radius is included in the initial custody/adoption study fee.
Home visit travel outside a 30 mile radius of Sioux Falls is billed at $100/hr and $1.00 a mile.
Court travel outside a 30 mile radius of Sioux Falls will be billed at $100/hr and $1.00 a mile.
Any additional testing (psychological, drug, etc...) will be billed separately through other agencies.
